The expert report by Professors Asif Sohail Usmani and Jiang Liming, prepared for the Independent Committee, analyzes the fire at Wang Fuk Court in Tai Po. It identifies key issues including accelerated fire spread due to compartmentation failures, ineffective sprinkler and smoke control systems, inadequate fire resistance of structural elements, and compromised evacuation routes. The report recommends significant upgrades to fire safety systems to prevent similar incidents.
